Blue Dream Jade®
A unique material among nephrite jades, Blue Dream Jade® is an incredibly hard, vibrant blue material with moderate translucense and a swirling-to-even pattern that takes a superb polish.  The blues of all shades test as tremolite (a variety of nephrite) with Raman Spectroscopy.  Blue Dream Jade® also contains a fair amount of vibrant material best categorized as chatoyant.  In the best grades, this chatoyant material has an even, cirrus-cloud-like distribution of shimmering threads floating in the jade's vibrant reflected blue light.  This material retains uniform hardness unlike classic chatoyant jades.  An example image of a finished pendant made from this material viewed under both reflected daylight (frontlit) and transmitted daylight (backlit) is included for reference.
